Will & Ellen had their first date at Acre in Auburn, Alabama back in February 2021. Ellen remembers she talked for a good 85% of the date and Will was so quiet and only put in a few sentences here and there! she definitely thought "Well I blew this, he definitely is not interested and I keep talking" but it turns out he was just nervous! He asked her to get drinks after dinner which surprised her because she thought he thought she was nothing special but she said “yes” and she is so glad she did!

Will opened up so much while getting drinks and he was so genuine and sweet and she knew she liked him (she literally texted one of her best friends after their date "omg I love him"). Will says the moment he knew he wanted to go on another date was during our first date when he received a call from a friend who did not realize he was on a date and asked him to come hang out with their good friend who was only in town for that night - Will said he was busy and hung up but Ellen asked him what the call was about and when he told her, instead of saying "well we can't go do that" she said "well if your good friend is only in town for one night then what are we still doing here? We have to go see him!" and will took her to meet all of his friends that night and he said he knew there was something special about her.

Since then, they have shared so many amazing moments from sharing their love of travel together with many beautiful trips, to cooking different meals together with Will supporting ellen’s love of cooking and Ellen supporting will’s love of eating (ha!), her sharing her love of film with Will and showing him all of her favorite movies and him sharing his love of skiing with her by teaching her to ski and loving her even though she is still terrible at it, to moving to Florida together, but Ellen would have to say her favorite moments with him are the mundane moments of just going to the grocery store together or sitting on the couch and just talking and laughing, no moment is ever boring if they are spending it together.

Many people probably look at Will & Ellen as complete opposites: Ellen is loud and opinionated (to say the least) and Will is soft spoken and takes his time before speaking, she is impulsive and never does the same thing two days in a row while he loves a good routine and schedule, but really, they balance each other out perfectly. Ellen brings will out of his shell and gets him to do things he never would have tried, while will brings her back down to earth and supports every part of her. that is what makes them just right for each other. When he asked her to marry him it was an immediate yes for Ellen, he makes every moment special and meaningful and makes her a better person every day. they can't wait to see what the rest of their lives bring!
